Responsibilities
- Contribute to curriculum development by creating, reviewing, and updating lesson plans and schemes of work.
- Teach assigned classes and provide a well-organised, challenging, and engaging learning environment.
- Foster self-directed learning and use technology to enhance student learning.
- Utilise assessment data to inform lesson planning.
- Assign and mark homework in a timely manner.
- Ensure high-quality teaching and learning throughout lessons.
- Address immediate issues or emergencies following school policies.
- Respond to student inquiries and questions.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status- this is essential
- Proven experience teaching Drama at KS3.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply).
- PGCE with QTS is preferred.
- Strong understanding of the Drama curriculum.
- Previous experience teaching Drama in a school or educational setting is preferred.
- A genuine passion for Drama and the ability to inspire students creatively.
- Solid theatrical knowledge, including drama techniques, stagecraft, and production processes.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Motivated, enthusiastic, and engaging demeanour.
- Strong communication skills that inspire and engage students.
