We are currently looking for a Teacher Monday - Friday to support a temporary contract between January and July 2025. There is the potential this could lead to a permanent transfer in September 2025 or even earlier depending on the success rate of the pairing. Planning, preparation and assessment duties will be included in this role as well as wider school contributions. Pay will be reflected M1-6 by the school on a pro rata term time basis.
Our primary is an academy based in Blackpool, FY4 area code. This school has great transportation routes with a bus stop directly outside and an accessible school car park and local parking options allowing a safe and easy commute. The school boasts an inclusive and supportive environment, which also includes a SURF provision attached for SEND students.. The collective mindset and aim of the staff and pupils is to produce kind and caring attitudes that promote wellness, thoughtful encouragement and support among one another.
Purpose:
- To support children and parents when settling children into the class and school environment, according to each family's needs.
- To lead the EYFS team and to enable each member of staff to contribute fully.
- To enable young children to make good progress in their learning by building upon the skills they have when they join the school in nursery or reception class.
- To assist all children to develop emotional security, self-belief and mature social skills.
- To promote a love of learning and an excitement about coming to school each day.
- To maintain the highest levels of conduct and professional behaviour.
- To take responsibility for safeguarding the welfare of children within the school.
- To build good relationships with parents and carers and work in partnership to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
- Act within the statutory frameworks.
Responsibilities:
- Planning: Plan rich and stimulating learning activities that achieve good progression in pupils' understanding by:
- Identifying clear learning objectives and learning content, appropriate to the subject or topic and the children being taught
- Being aware of individual children's needs and interests and utilising these in planning learning within and outside the classroom
- Setting exciting and intriguing tasks for whole class learning, small group learning and child initiated learning.
- Ensuring that learning is appropriately differentiated so that the learning is well pitched and all of the class are challenged at their current level of understanding.
- Create a rich, stimulating learning environment that will capture attention, create excitement and lead to independent exploration.
- Make effective use of assessment information on pupils' attainment and progress when teaching and in planning future learning.
