We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Economics Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school in Leeds. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality economics lessons to students at KS4 and KS5, fostering a deep understanding of economic principles while developing their critical thinking skills.

What We're Looking For
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

- Strong knowledge of the Subject
- Capacity to clearly and concisely convey difficult ideas.
- Creativeness and the capacity to modify teachings to meet the needs of various learning styles.
- Good communication skills both in writing and speaking.
- Good classroom management strategies and the capacity to keep a focused and upbeat learning atmosphere.
- Excellent organisational abilities and time management capabilities.
- The ability to provide students meaningful, understandable comments that will help them advance.
- Thorough knowledge of the economics curriculum, including the capacity to create interesting courses that accommodate various learning preferences.
- Familiarity with both formative and summative evaluation techniques.
- a dedication to ongoing teaching practice improvement and professional development.
- The capacity to inspire pupils and cultivate an enthusiasm for economics.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all students
- Assess and monitor student progress using formative assessment techniques
- Use summative assessment to evaluate student achievement and guide future lesson planning.
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment, promoting student participation and encouraging critical thinking.
- Work closely with parents and guardians to support student's academic progress and well-being.
- Regularly review and update teaching materials to ensure they are up-to-date and engaging.
