Randstad is excited to offer this fantastic opportunity to join Bury Council's Education & Inclusion Division as an EHC Assessment and Review Officer. This rewarding role empowers you to make a direct impact on the lives of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.
The Role:
As an EHC Assessment and Review Officer, you'll manage a caseload of children and young people (ages 0-25), conducting EHC needs assessments and developing high-quality EHCPs. Working in line with the Children & Families Act 2014 and SEND Code of Practice, you'll collaborate with families and professionals to support young people in achieving meaningful outcomes. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing statutory EHC assessment processes and creating compliant, outcomes-focused EHCPs.
- Collaborating with families, schools, and multi-agency professionals to co-produce plans.
- Providing clear guidance to parents and young people throughout the EHCP process.
- Attending Annual Reviews and ensuring EHCPs are updated in line with statutory time lines.
What We're Looking For:
We're seeking a candidate with experience in SEN and Inclusion, ideally within an EHC Assessment and Review team. You'll need strong knowledge of SEND legislation and a passion for delivering the best outcomes for children and young people.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- GCE 'A' level standard or equivalent education.
- Proven experience managing SEND caseloads.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
