We are looking for a skilled and proactive Maintenance Electrician to join our building services team, responsible for electrical maintenance and minor mechanical and plumbing tasks in a commercial environment. The role involves planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs, ensuring the smooth operation of electrical and building systems.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Electrical Maintenance & Repairs:
- Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and control panels.
- Fault finding, testing, and repairs on circuits, emergency lighting, and electrical components.
- Inspection, testing, and certification of electrical installations in line with 18th Edition regulations (BS 7671).
🔹 Building Services & General Maintenance:
- Assist with minor mechanical and plumbing tasks, such as replacing pumps, basic HVAC maintenance, and leak repairs.
- Support the upkeep of building fabric, including door access systems, fire alarm testing, and minor repairs.
- Carry out water temperature monitoring and basic Legionella compliance checks.
🔹 Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with health & safety regulations.
- Keep accurate maintenance records and complete job reports as required.
- Work collaboratively with other engineers and subcontractors to maintain building systems.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Maintenance (or equivalent).
- City & Guilds 2391 - Testing & Inspection
- 18th Edition (BS 7671) qualification.
- Experience working in a building services maintenance role (commercial or residential).
