A leading manufacturing company based in Oldbury/West Bromwich is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in heavy industry, particularly steel or similar sectors, to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
About the Role:
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing machinery. Your primary duties will include:
Conducting planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems and machinery.
Fault finding and troubleshooting on PLCs, control panels, and wiring systems.
Responding to breakdowns promptly to minimise downtime.
Ensuring all electrical systems comply with health and safety regulations.
Collaborating with the maintenance team to improve equipment reliability and performance.
Key Requirements:
Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, ideally within heavy industry.
Strong knowledge of PLC fault finding, control panels, and electrical wiring.
Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, etc.).
