The Role
A leading facilities management company is seeking a skilled Electrical Shift Lead to oversee electrical operations at a key London site. This role involves managing electrical maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and leading a team of engineers to maintain efficient building operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of electrical engineers and technicians.
- Perform planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and critical systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults to ensure minimal downtime.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety standards, risk assessments, and UK regulations.
- Monitor and manage electrical safety systems, including emergency lighting and backup power supplies.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external contractors to maintain high service levels.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of electrical maintenance activities.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Fully qualified electrician with relevant certifications (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds 2365, 18th Edition, or equivalent).
- Strong leadership experience within a facilities management or critical environment.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Experience with PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and reactive maintenance in a commercial setting.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
