Key Responsibilities
Plan and teach engaging English lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4
Support students in preparing for their GCSE exams
Regularly assess student progress using a variety of methods
Foster an inclusive and positive classroom atmosphere
Adhere to safeguarding and school policies
Essential Skills and Attributes
Strong knowledge of English Language and Literature
Excellent classroom management skills
Creative and effective lesson planning
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities
Commitment to safeguarding and child protection
Qualifications & Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
Recent teaching experience in a secondary school
Familiarity with the National Curriculum
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)
Eligibility to work in the UK
