Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Help prepare students for their GCSE English Language and Literature exams
Assess student progress with both formative and summative methods
Create an inclusive and engaging classroom environment
Comply with school policies and safeguarding procedures
Essential Skills and Attributes
In-depth knowledge of English Language and Literature
Strong classroom management techniques
Creative in lesson planning and resource design
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to inspire and motivate a diverse range of students
Commitment to safeguarding and child protection
Qualifications & Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
Experience teaching English in a secondary school
Knowledge of the National Curriculum
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
Eligible to work in the UK
