Requirements :
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant academic qualifications in History or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level, with a track record of student success.
- Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for inspiring young learners.
- DBS (or willingness to apply)
Your Responsibilities :
- Teach engaging and challenging lessons to students across various age groups.
- Foster a love for English language and literature through innovative teaching methods.
- Plan and deliver curriculum-aligned lessons that cater to diverse learning needs.
- Maintaining a positive and disciplined learning environment where all students feel safe, respected, and motivated to learn. Managing behaviour effectively and addressing any issues that may arise in the classroom.
- Teaching core aspects of English including grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing skills, and literary analysis. This may involve exploring a range of texts, from classic literature to contemporary fiction and non-fiction.
