Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and interactive English lessons to secondary students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and supports individual learning needs.
- Assess and provide constructive feedback on student progress on time.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create and implement effective schemes of work and resources.
- Utilise a range of teaching methodologies, techniques, and resources to enhance student learning.
- Monitor and manage student behaviour to maintain a conducive learning environment.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with parents and carers to ensure a collaborative learning experience.
Requirements:
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Must provide two professional references.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification with a specialisation in English.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to get one).
- Relevant degree in English literature, language, or related field.
- Previous experience teaching English at the secondary level is desirable.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the English language and literature.
- Effective classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
