This is a one-year fixed-term contract, starting as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
... - Plan and deliver engaging and effective English lessons tailored to students of varying abilities and needs.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through continuous assessments and formal exams.
- Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their language skills.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet individual learning preferences.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance curriculum resources.
- Maintain accurate and current records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, encouraging their active participation in the educational process.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree in English or a related field.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service is required.
- Minimum of 3 months of teaching experience in the UK.
- Proven success in teaching at an 11-16 school.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge and passion for English language and literature.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential.
- Good organisational skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Familiarity with the UK education system and curriculum.
