My modular housing company is currently hiring for an Estimator. It is a permanent position that will pay up to €48k DOE.It is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing company and develop in a very promising market in Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labour, and subcontractor costs, for modular building projects.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and 3D models to extract quantities and prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions.
- Obtain and analyse quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring competitive and accurate pricing.
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents and proposals for new business opportunities.
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related
- field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating, preferably within the modular or offsite construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction costs, materials, and methodologies, particularly in modular and volumetric construction
- Proficiency in estimating software and Excel; experience with 3D modelling and BIM is a plus.
