Location: Gattonside (Near Melrose)
Hours: Full-Time, Part-Time, and Waking Night Shifts Available
About the Role:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join a care team for Angus, a 29-year-old with complex needs transitioning to a supported living environment in Gattonside. Angus will live in a purpose-built 4-bedroom shared home with two other adults requiring care. The care package will be delivered by Together Borders, who will also manage the property.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 2:1 support from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, 1:1 support from 4:00 pm - 10:00 pm, and 1:1 waking night shifts from 10:00 pm - 10:00 am.
- Assist with PEG feeding and ensure hes nutritional needs are met.
- Provide care for him, who has a learning disability, blindness, partial hearing loss, epilepsy, and limited mobility.
- Offer mobility support using hand-aid assistance, as Angus cannot walk unaided.
- Deliver personal care, emotional support, and assistance with daily tasks to enhance his quality of life.
- Monitor his health and well-being, responding to medical and emotional needs, including epilepsy management and recovery from recent strokes.
- Collaborate effectively with the care team to ensure a consistent and high standard of care in line with Together Borders' practices.

- Experience supporting individuals with complex needs, including mobility assistance, PEG feeding, and epilepsy
