We are seeking a full-time Early Years Teacher for a primary school in Dewsbury, starting April and continuing until July. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in early childhood education, fostering curiosity and a love for learning in young children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
- Support children's early language, literacy, numeracy, and social development
- Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCO, and parents to support individual learning needs
- Observe, assess, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies accordingly
- Encourage independence, creativity, and confidence in young learners
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent early years teaching qualification
- Experience teaching in an Early Years setting (Nursery or Reception)
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A passion for early childhood education and a creative approach to teaching
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
