We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and supportive team at our primary school in Liverpool. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting the early development and learning of young children, helping them to achieve their full potential in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons in the EYFS setting.
- Support children's learning and development in all areas, including communication, literacy, numeracy, and personal, social, and emotional skills.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where children feel confident and valued.
- Work with small groups or individually to support targeted learning and development needs.
- Observe children's progress and report any concerns to the class teacher or SENCo.
- Support the children's physical, emotional, and social development, helping them build essential life skills.
- Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources.
What we are looking for:
The ideal candidate will have:
- A relevant qualification, such as a Level 2 or 3 Early Years Educator qualification or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with children in an EYFS setting.
- A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
- Passion for working with young children and supporting their early learning journeys.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach.
