About the Role:
Are you a skilled Fabric Engineer looking for a new opportunity in Reading? We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team and take charge of fabric maintenance within our facilities. This role offers a competitive salary of £28,000 per annum, with the added benefit of flexible working hours from Monday to Friday-no weekend work or on-call duties required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting regular inspections and maintenance of fabric elements, including walls, ceilings, flooring, and doors.
- Performing minor repairs, refurbishments, and installations as needed.
- Ensuring that all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Working closely with other maintenance staff and contractors to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.
- Responding promptly to any fabric-related issues and providing effective solutions.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Fabric Engineer or in a similar maintenance role.
- Strong knowledge of building fabrics and repair techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- A strong commitment to health and safety practices.
