An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Procurement Professional to join a dynamic and fast-paced team. This role provides a high level of autonomy, allowing the successful candidate to manage procurement activities, build strong supplier relationships, and contribute to the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of procurement operations.
The position involves managing multiple commodities, working closely with suppliers and category managers in both the UK and internationally. Manage procurement activities across multiple commodities, ensuring cost efficiency and timely supply.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Collaborate with Accounts Payable to resolve cost and payment issues.
Utilize SAP S/4HANA (desirable) and Workday for procurement operations and reporting.
Perform data analysis using Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and formulas, to support procurement decisions.
Prepare reports and presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and cost savings.
Operate effectively in a highly dynamic, aftermarket environment, responding to changing priorities.
Procurement or purchasing experience within manufacturing, food, clothing, or any structured purchasing environment.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including experience with pivot tables and formulas.
Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate data and make informed procurement decisions.
Highly adaptable, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
