Family Court Advisor - Leeds, West Yorkshire
Randstad are delighted to be working in partnership with Cafcass to recruit for a Family Court Advisor to cover Private Law cases across West Yorkshire. This role is based in the Leeds office & hybrid working is available.
Contract: 6-12 months
Hourly Rate: £34.50 - £37.50

About the Role
As a Family Court Advisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Family Court in making informed decisions regarding children's welfare. Your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing applications to the court and gathering information from various sources, including the police and local authorities.
- Analysing information, identifying risks, and alerting the court to any safeguarding concerns.
- Assisting the court in determining the best course of action.
- Attending court hearings and potentially providing evidence.
- Producing safeguarding reports under Section 7.
- Completing safeguarding letters.
- Supporting the court in considering the impact on children and developing solutions.

This role frequently involves cases with allegations of:
- Highly conflicted parents
- Domestic abuse
- Substance misuse
- Parental alienation
- Abuse and neglect
- Mental ill-health
About You
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional with strong analytical and communication skills. Experience working within the family court system & report writing is essential, as is a deep understanding of child safeguarding procedures.
