If so, we want you to join our dedicated team as a part-time Teacher of Food Technology for a maternity cover position.
About the Role:
This part-time role (3 days per week) is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference, delivering exciting, practical, and theoretical lessons that equip students with life-long culinary skills. Based in our beautiful, rural setting on the outskirts of Chelmsford, you'll bring food technology to life for our students while enjoying the charm and tranquillity of our countryside campus.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Full Teaching Responsibilities: You'll have the autonomy to plan and prepare lessons, assess and mark work, and ensure students achieve their full potential.
- Engage and Inspire: Use your passion for food technology to create interactive and inspiring lessons that instil confidence and enthusiasm in students.
- Active Team Member: Participate in staff briefings and meetings as required, and communicate effectively with parents at meetings.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and strong subject knowledge are essential.
- Exceptional Communication Skills: Engage students effectively, work closely with colleagues, and build positive relationships with parents.
- Proactive and Organised: Able to manage workload effectively, maintaining high standards in planning, assessment, and feedback.
