We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Food Technology Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Bradford. This exciting opportunity will see you teaching Food Studies at KS3, with a focus on Hospitality and Catering at KS4. You'll play a key role in shaping student's skills, creativity, and understanding of the food industry.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE in a relevant subject (Food Technology, Hospitality, or Catering).
- Experience teaching Food Technology at KS3 and Hospitality and Catering at KS4 is highly desirable.
- A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
- A passion for food education and a commitment to student success.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons for KS3 Food Studies and KS4 Hospitality and Catering.
- Inspire students to develop practical skills and theoretical knowledge in food preparation, nutrition, and the hospitality sector.
- Prepare students for GCSE assessments, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning standards.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing targeted support where necessary.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Design and Technology department to create a stimulating learning environment.
