The Role :
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Forest School Leader to work at a wonderful SEN school based in Cambridge. In this role, you will lead outdoor learning sessions that focus on personal, social, and emotional development through nature-based activities. You will support students with a variety of SEN, guiding them as they develop essential life skills, build self-esteem, and connect with the natural world. A central aspect of this role is to foster a love of the natural world, so you will encourage children to explore and interact with nature, developing their curiosity and connection to the environment.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning, delivering, and evaluating Forest School sessions tailored to students with Special Educational Needs
- Creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive outdoor learning environment
- Supporting students in developing problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills through outdoor activities
- Encouraging students to take appropriate risks, fostering resilience and confidence
- Collaborating with teachers and support staff to integrate Forest School into the wider curriculum
- Promoting environmental awareness and a strong connection with nature
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Forest School Level 3 qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience working with children, particularly in an SEN setting (desirable)
- A passion for outdoor learning and a commitment to supporting children's development through nature
- The ability to lead and manage outdoor sessions independently and safely
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to working with students
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
