About the Role:
The school seeks a dedicated and versatile General Cover Teacher to join their School in Worksop. This is a full-time position starting 22nd April 2025. As a key member of the teaching team, you will provide high-quality cover across various subjects, ensuring continuity in students' learning.

Key Responsibilities:
... - Deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects.
- Maintain a positive and well-ordered classroom environment.
- Ensure students remain engaged and on task.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles.
- Follow school policies and behaviour management procedures.
- Provide feedback on student progress to subject teachers.
- Supervise and support students both in and outside the classroom.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively and promote a respectful learning environment.
- Encourage student participation and motivation.
- Support students with their learning needs as required.
- Cover for absent teachers at short notice.
- Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and school policies.
Essential Skills & Attributes:
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to different teaching environments and subjects.
- A proactive and flexible approach to teaching.
- Confidence in delivering lessons across multiple disciplines.
- A commitment to student progress and engagement.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Experience teaching in a secondary school setting.
