The Opportunity:
We are seeking a proactive and reliable Handyperson to join my clients' team on a prestigious static commercial contract in the heart of the City of London. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a professional, client-facing environment, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the site and maintaining high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out general handyperson duties, including minor repairs, furniture moves, basic carpentry, painting, decorating, and patch repairs.
- Assist with meeting room setups and breakdowns, including moving tables, chairs, and ensuring AV equipment is ready for use.
- Respond promptly to day-to-day reactive maintenance requests and tasks as directed by the facilities team.
- Ensure all works are carried out to a high standard, with minimal disruption to tenants and clients.
- Conduct basic checks and maintenance on building fabric and assist specialist contractors when required.
- Maintain accurate records of completed tasks and report any larger maintenance issues to the management team.
- Liaise directly with the client and site occupants, providing a professional, polite, and helpful service at all times.
- Adhere to all health & safety regulations and site-specific policies.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in a handyperson/fabric maintenance role, ideally within a commercial office environment.
- Good all-round knowledge of basic maintenance tasks, including carpentry, painting, decorating, and basic plumbing.
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Strong awareness of health & safety best practices.
- Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the building and its occupants.
