The Head of Enterprise and Technology will play a pivotal role in leading academic excellence and continuous improvement, ensuring high standards of teaching, curriculum design, and student outcomes. They will work collaboratively with faculty members, fostering a culture of professional growth and innovation while maintaining alignment with the school's mission and vision. He/she must also be committed to the development of the school and modeling professional behaviour. He/she must also be committed to his/her own professional development.

Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Leadership
- Design, implement, and continuously review the curriculum to ensure it meets educational standards and supports the academic goals of the school.
- Promote innovative teaching strategies and develop a cohesive curriculum roadmap, ensuring a streamlined progression across all Key Stages.
- Ensure high standards across the faculty, embedding challenging and engaging content that is accessible to all students.
Pedagogical Leadership
- Provide expert guidance to teachers, helping to establish and support effective teaching practices.
- Foster a collaborative culture within the faculty, encouraging the sharing of best practices and creating professional growth opportunities.
- Support teachers with the implementation of the latest educational strategies to enhance student learning experiences.
Assessment and Data Analysis
- Oversee assessment practices, ensuring they are meaningful, timely, and well-communicated to students and parents.
- Analyse data from assessments to identify trends, address areas for improvement, and inform teaching and learning adjustments.
- Coordinate and monitor interventions based on data insights to improve student achievement and foster academic growth.
- Ensuring exam entries are accurate and oversight of all matters pertaining to external assessments.
Quality Assurance
- Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning within the faculty, providing constructive feedback to enhance instructional quality.
- Conduct regular observations and reviews, ensuring that standards are met and that teaching is effective and consistent.
- Develop and implement a Departmental Improvement Plan to support continuous advancement in student outcomes.
Professional Development
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, supporting faculty members in their professional development goals.
- Plan and lead regular professional development sessions, ensuring alignment with school objectives.
- Engage in self-development, staying current with best practices in education and leadership.
Communication and Collaboration
- Maintain open communication channels within the faculty and with other stakeholders, promoting cross-departmental initiatives and shared resources.
- Conduct effective departmental meetings in line with school standards, ensuring information is consistently communicated.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to promote interdisciplinary learning and foster a connected school environment.
- Ensure cover work provided for classes and cover teachers supported.
Student Support and Engagement
- Build positive relationships with students.
- Enforce school policies on behaviour, attendance, and conduct within the faculty, upholding high standards.
- Celebrate student achievements within the department through initiatives such as "Star of the Week," House Points, and other recognitions.
Parent and Community Engagement
- Engage with parents on student progress, curriculum updates, and any significant departmental changes.
- Attend Parent-Teacher Conferences and other school events to represent the faculty and offer support to the school community.
- Facilitate effective communication with parents, ensuring they are well-informed about their child's academic journey.
Resource Management
- Manage the budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and equitable access for all students.
- Oversee procurement and resource maintenance, including health and safety, inventory audits, and classroom readiness.
- Ensure that all learning environments within the faculty reflect a high standard of presentation, supporting an atmosphere conducive to learning.

Person Specification Requirements:
Qualifications
- Education: PGCE, BEd, or equivalent teaching qualification (required);
- Master's degree in Education or a related field (preferred).
- Leadership Qualifications: Advanced leadership training or qualifications such as NPQSL (National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership) or equivalent (desirable).
Experience
- Demonstrated success in a leadership role, including leading a department or faculty to achieve measurable improvement in student outcomes.
- Proven ability to lead and implement change, with a track record of setting and achieving ambitious targets that support continuous improvement.
- Experience contributing to whole-school initiatives and engaging with the wider school community to support a unified approach to school-wide goals.
- Effective in managing resources and personnel to align with broader school objectives and standards.
Skills and Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Proficiency in data analysis to support decision-making and improvement plans.
