We are looking for a passionate and results-oriented Sustainability Manager to join our team and drive our ambitious sustainability goals in the construction, built environment, and housing sector. In this role, you will play a key role in shaping our future by implementing innovative strategies and programmes that contribute to environmental safeguarding, contractual performance, and environmental compliance.

- This is a hybrid role with a 2 in 3 home working pattern.
What you will do:
- Lead and implement sustainability strategy, ensuring alignment with evolving environmental legislation, company goals, and client KPIs. This includes developing and implementing strategies to achieve net zero carbon and decarbonization goals.
- Develop and manage carbon collection processes, working to build a detailed carbon footprint for both [Client Name] and its clients, and utilizing this data to drive decarbonization efforts. This involves the collation and analysis of data, and presentation of findings to the board.
- Oversee financial planning and resource allocation for sustainable initiatives, ensuring effective budget management.
- Collaborate with existing and potential clients to tailor sustainability solutions that align with their business and environmental goals.
- Lead the development and implementation of ISO 14001 accreditation, including acting as a lead auditor.
- Manage a small team of 2 direct reports to ensure the successful execution of sustainability initiatives.
Who you are:
- Strategic thinker: You have a proven ability to design and implement long-term sustainability impact strategies that align with business goals.
- Relationship builder: You excel at building strong relationships with government bodies, industry associations, and clients.
- Financially astute: You have experience managing budgets, funding applications, and financial risk in community engagement projects.
- Data expert: You can effectively interpret and present complex sustainability and carbon data across a host of different systems.
- ISO 14001 expert: You have a deep understanding of ISO 14001 and have experience as a lead auditor.
- Experienced leader: You have a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar sustainability role and are comfortable leading and managing a small team.
