My client, a civil engineering and construction PC are actively recruiting for an experienced H&S Advisor to join their team on one of the most prestigious roles in the North East.
Candidate Responsibilities:
- Planning and undertaking Project and Office Safety Inspections, reporting expediently to the Auditor (SPM/PM/Head of HSQE) any issues of Non-Compliance, Potential for Improvement or Observations.
- Monitoring the Near Miss (Close Call) reporting system, expediting close outs as necessary.
- Provide HS&E advice to Projects, including document review and guidance on any point of H&S Law (including - CDM, LOLER. PUWER, Asbestos, Noise/Vibration, DSE, CoSHH, PPE, Management Regulations, H&S@WA, Transport and Works Act etc…)
- Processing training requests and answering training related queries
- Delivering training within sphere of knowledge/capability including Project Inductions where instructed by head of HSQE
- Booking training courses, medicals and drugs & alcohol tests, sending joining instructions to attendees.
- Obtaining copies of training certificates and scanning them in their personal training files.
- Maintaining and populating training database, monitoring training expiration monthly
Candidate Requirements:
- Degree qualified
- Experience of Computing packages including above average literacy in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good understanding of H&S Legislation and Railway Standards
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate
- Membership of IOSH - Tech IOSH
