BASIS Shenzhen

BASIS International School Shenzhen opened in 2015 and was the very first school in the network. Originally located in a renovated previous structure, in 2023 the school moved into its beautiful new campus, with the ability to accommodate over 1,600 students in Grades Pre-K - 12 and state-of-the-art facilities for performing and visual arts, athletics, and sciences, in addition to stunning outdoor spaces and gardens. Role and Requirements

At BASIS, students achieve authentic learning through robust challenges. From middle school onwards, students engage in advanced coursework, setting high expectations while establishing a solid foundation in core subjects, revisiting and reinforcing concepts in greater depth each year to prepare for entry into honors and Advanced Placement levels starting in 9th grade.

As an English Language Arts teacher, you build upon this foundation of language and social science skills and knowledge, covering topics such as the writing process, grammar, reading comprehension, and literary and rhetorical devices. You also collaborate with fellow teachers to create interdisciplinary lessons incorporating other subjects such as drama or history

Requirements

• Fully qualified with a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience and a Bachelors Degree in your subject area
