Key Responsibilities:
- Create and present excellent history lessons that are in line with the goals and curriculum of the school
- Encourage inquiry and discovery in your pupils by using innovative and engaging teaching strategies to pique their interest in history
- Evaluate student's progress on a regular basis and offer helpful criticism to help them advance academically
- Work together with colleagues to support the history department at the school and take advantage of professional development opportunities
An ideal candidate would:
- Live within the UK and be authorised to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (willing to get one)
- Hold a QTS (PGCE, B.Ed., GTP) qualification to teach
- Provide 2 professional references
- Have a strong interest in history
- Bring a steadfast dedication to advancing the best practices in instruction and learning for the department and the academy
- Possess a constant passion with raising their own bar for instruction and learning in order to provide superior results for their students
- Able to interact with students, motivate them, and establish strong bonds
- Adhere to the high standards of the school culture
