The Role :
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work at a well-established SEN School based on the outskirts of Thetford. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, a proven track record in supporting learning, and the ability to work with students of various ages and needs.
As an HLTA, you will play an essential role in supporting the classroom teacher and providing additional support to students. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make a significant impact in a supportive and collaborative educational environment.

Your Responsibilities :
- Support class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
- Lead small group sessions and 1:1 interventions.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assist in the assessment and monitoring of student progress.
- Contribute to the development of educational resources and activities.
- Provide cover for class teachers as required.
- Promote the school's values and ethos through positive interactions with students, staff, and parents.
To be successful for the HLTA role, you must:
- Hold HLTA or an equivalent qualification
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to process one through Randstad Education)
- Hold eligibility to work in the UK
- Have a minimum of 6 weeks experience supporting Early Years/ Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.
- Have a strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
- Have excellent communication skills
- Have strong behaviour management
