Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Dorset
Salary: £25,015.20 - £27,302.30 (FTE £29,120.00 - £31,782.40)
Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week, Term-Time Only
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team. If you're committed to making a real impact on the lives of young people with additional learning needs, this could be the perfect role for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in their learning and overall well-being, helping them achieve their full potential.
- Deliver engaging learning activities under the teacher's direction, contributing to a balanced curriculum.
- Build positive relationships with students to ensure they feel safe, supported, and engaged in their education.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to aid their development.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare in line with school policies.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or above.
- GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C or 4 and above).
- Experience working with SEN, SLD/PMLD, ADHD, and ASD is a strong advantage.
- Sound knowledge of safeguarding and child protection protocols.
- Experience in managing challenging behaviours and fostering an inclusive learning environment.
