Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across school facilities, including classrooms, staff rooms, hallways, bathrooms, and communal areas.
- Clean, disinfect, and polish furniture, floors, windows, and other surfaces to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
- Ensure that all cleaning supplies are used appropriately and stock levels are maintained.
- Empty bins, dispose of waste correctly, and ensure recycling procedures are followed.
- Carry out deep cleaning tasks as needed, particularly during school holidays or special events.
- Report any maintenance issues or damage to the relevant staff for resolution.
- Ensure health and safety standards are followed, including the safe handling of cleaning materials and equipment.
- Collaborate with other staff to ensure smooth daily operations and a pleasant working environment.
What we are looking for:
- Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to follow health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- An Enhanced Child DBS or willingness to undertake one (we can help with this).
- Legal right to work in the UK.
- Comprehensive CV covering the last 10 years of education/employment history with any breaks explained.
