Job Purpose:
- Provide a professional, timely, efficient, and accurate HR transactional service to operational teams.
- Support the HR Business Partner with general HR initiatives, including recruitment management, TUPE transfers, and employee relations.
- Advise line managers and employees on general HR issues (discipline, grievance, performance management, time and attendance, long-term sickness, maternity, and other management issues).
- Maintain HR systems to produce meaningful reports for the senior management team.
Key Accountability:
- Respond to general HR queries.
- Maintain HR trackers to ensure data accuracy.
- Manage information flow to payroll regarding new employees, changes to terms and conditions, and leavers.
- Produce accurate monthly board reports for the region.
- Prepare and issue HR documentation (e.g., new starter offers, contracts, change of terms and conditions, benefits, bonuses).
- Manage and coordinate employee absence records and provide monthly statistics to the HRBP.
- Liaise with Occupational Health for absence management referrals.
- Assist line managers in implementing sickness absence management procedures.
- Review and maintain Job Templates with operational teams.
- Capture training requirements from PDRs and build the training matrix for the region.
- Manage the first-week induction program for new starters, ensuring consistent standards.
- Build relationships with operational teams, dealing with HR queries and supporting people-related matters; escalate when required.
- Support the HRBP in facilitating HR workshops for line managers.
- Ensure HR administration managed by the HR Assistant is accurate and up-to-date.
- Support line managers with disciplinary and grievance hearings, including note-taking.
- Assist with HR projects as needed.
- Ensure due diligence by applying practices and procedures within the department.
Person Specification:
- Qualified CIPD member.
- Experience in an HR Advisor role.
- Track record in HR generalist and change management roles.
- Knowledge of UK employment legislation and best practices.
- Ability to work on own initiative and within a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- IT literate with Microsoft Office to an intermediate level.
- Practical problem-solving approach.
- Experience in gathering and presenting data.

- Salary £36,000 - £40,000
