Role: Independent Living Officer
Hourly pay: £12.59
Hours: 37hrs per week
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Campus East Office, WGC - AL8 7PH
As an Independent Living Officer, you will play a crucial role in promoting the independence, dignity, security, privacy, confidentiality, rights, and well-being of our tenants.
Requirement:
- Previous experience or direct understanding of working with elderly, disabled or individuals deemed to be at risk
- Knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable children and adults
- Ability to assess the complex and varied support needs of older people
- Ability to develop creative solutions to problems
- Ability to produce written documents to a high standard
- Ability and confidence to make decisions independently and under pressure
- Ability to communicate effectively, develop working relationships with residents, external partners and key stakeholders to deliver operational business excellence and improvement
- Good level of IT literacy. Confident in use of Word, Excel and Outlook and other systems relevant to the role in order to input data and complete reports
- The ability to remain calm under pressure in stressful circumstances
- Ability and confidence to make decisions independently and under pressure when lone working
- Ability to drive and possession of a current UK driving license to travel to multi-site locations
