Due to high demand in and across Blackpool we are looking for motivated and proactive IT Technicians with a strong background in supporting IT systems, hardware, and software. You will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting all aspects of our IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth daily operations, and providing hands-on technical support across the school.

Key Responsibilities:

• IT Support & Troubleshooting: Provide first- and second-line technical support to staff and students, resolving hardware, software, and networking issues promptly.
• System Maintenance: Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, networks, and servers.
• Hardware & Software Management: Manage the school's inventory of IT equipment, ensuring systems are up to date with the latest software and security patches.
• Network Management: Support and troubleshoot local area network (LAN) issues, manage Wi-Fi networks, and ensure connectivity is robust across all areas of the school.
• User Training & Documentation: Provide training for staff and students on new systems and software. Maintain clear documentation for all IT procedures, processes, and inventory.
• Security & Data Protection: Ensure all IT systems are secure and compliant with data protection regulations (GDPR). Monitor security systems and manage user access.
• Project Support: Assist with the planning and execution of IT-related projects, including hardware upgrades, software deployments, and network improvements.

Preferred Skills:

• Proven experience in a similar IT Technician or IT Support role, ideally within an educational environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues across a variety of IT systems, including desktops, laptops, printers, and networking equipment.
• Strong knowledge of IT hardware, software, and networking principles.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity practices and data protection requirements (GDPR).
  

Requirements:

• An Enhanced Child DBS or willingness to undertake one (we can help with this).
• Legal right to work in the UK.
