We are seeking a skilled and experienced Domestic Joiner to join our team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out high-quality joinery work in kitchens across tenanted properties within the [Local Authority Name] jurisdiction.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and refurbish kitchen units, worktops, and associated fittings.
- Carry out repairs and maintenance on existing kitchen structures and fixtures.
- Work closely with other tradespeople to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Communicate effectively with tenants and other stakeholders, ensuring minimal disruption to tenants' daily lives.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations and local authority standards.
- Complete work within specified timeframes and to the satisfaction of the local authority.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a domestic joiner, with specific experience in kitchen installations and refurbishments.
- CSCS card.
- Asbestos awareness.
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Joinery/Carpentry.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Own tools and transport preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
