We are currently recruiting a selection of KS2 TA's to support a variety of schools across Lytham (FY8) from January 2025, you will be paired with a school and position suited to your skill set, availability and location. Ideally to match our schools you will need to have prior experience in a KS2 setting or qualified, the availability to work between the hours of 8:30-3:30 and available within the working week Monday - Friday, full and part time roles are available. Pay for this role will start at £13.50 - £14+ per hour.
We can offer adhoc flexible day to day work, short term (6 weeks) and long term (12 weeks +) temporary contracts in the Lytham area.
Our schools are looking for a KS2 TA with an understanding of the curriculum, SPAG, Intervention or SAT Booster experience, KS2 phonics such as little wandle or read write inc. Previous experience with supporting reading and writing will also be preferred as well as someone who can adapt work or modify their support approach to each pupils needs. You will need patience and understanding in early development with an appreciation that every child is different and will reach milestones differently. Responsibilities
... - Preparation of resources and activities for 1:1 and small group support.
- Support the class teacher with activities, upholding the class behaviour and reward scheme.
- Have a flexible approach and ability to adapt resources on the spot.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to organise appropriate activities and provide feedback on pupil progress.
- Liaise with other professionals such as Teacher's, TA, specialist support staff.
- Review and support the child's EHCP or care plan.
- Work closely with other LSAs and support staff.
- Work with classes, small groups and with children on a one to one basis.
- Monitor and track the development of pupils, supporting their personal development and confidence.
Essential requirements
- Experience of working with young people.
- Experience within a reception setting.
- Good class management skills.
- Be comfortable and confident in managing challenging behaviours.
- Ability to engage with, and build rapport with young people.
- Be creative, proactive and flexible in their supporting style.
- Have experience with SEN or knowledge learning difficulties.
- TA qualified.
