About Kalba:
This school is a newly established Australian private primary school, opened in September 2022, founded by the Sheikh of Sharjah.
We serve students from PreKG to Grade 8, and we will expand to Grade 9 next year. Plans are underway for a new secondary school featuring specialist rooms, a gymnasium, two pools, and a library. Setting up a new school takes time, typically 3 to 5 years, but being part of a new school offers the opportunity to help shape its direction. While startup schools can be demanding, they offer incredibly rewarding experiences for those who enjoy a challenge.
Our staff community consists of over 100 individuals, including teachers, teaching assistants, drivers, and bus conductors, representing various parts of the world. Although we are relatively new, we have faced unique challenges and are equipped with excellent facilities and a strong pastoral system.
Regional Overview: Sharjah is the cultural capital of the UAE and these schools are in the cities of Kalba and Khor Fakkan - two locations primed for rapid development. Teachers will live in the very close by emirate of Fujairah enjoying coastal living only a short distance from the school sites (Kalba is 5 mins away and Khor Fakkan is 20 mins). Fujairah is across the mountains just over an hour from Dubai. People who live in Fujairah benefit from the active lifestyle which the environment is conducive to, having the rugged mountains and beautiful beaches on the doorsteps.
Requirements:
- Applicants must be qualified teachers holding degree level certification and QTS or equivalent.
- You should have at least 2 year of experience post qualification however outstanding applicants with one year of experience may be considered.
- Australian curriculum experience is preferred but not essential.
- Previous international experience is welcomed.

- Monthly tax free salary of 12,000 AED up to a maximum of 17,000 AED depending on experience and qualifications (very low cost living locations)
