Essentials of Kitchen Assistant
- Understanding food safety and sanitation standards.
- Capability to handle tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a kitchen team.
- Ensuring cleanliness and proper handling of food and equipment.
Responsibilities are
- Assist with basic food preparation
- Clean and sanitise kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils.
- Wash dishes and manage waste disposal.
- Maintain proper storage of food and supplies.
- Unpack, organise, and monitor stock levels.
- Follow food hygiene and health and safety regulations.
- Report damaged equipment or low supplies to supervisors.
- Provide general support to chefs and kitchen staff during busy periods
