The Role:
As a KS1-KS2 Class Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that meet the needs of a diverse range of students. You will play a key role in fostering both the academic and personal development of children in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, depending on your experience and preferences.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lesson Planning & Delivery: Create and deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons aligned with the national curriculum for either KS1 or KS2.
- Student Development: Support students' academic, social, and emotional development, ensuring each child reaches their full potential.
- Assessment & Feedback: Regularly assess student progress and provide constructive feedback, adapting teaching strategies as needed.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment, using effective behaviour management strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, support staff, and parents to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Extracurricular Involvement: Participate in school events and activities to enhance the overall student experience.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Must hold QTS with experience teaching in a KS1 or KS2 setting.
- Passion for Teaching: A strong commitment to educating young children and nurturing their curiosity and love for learning.
- Classroom Management: Proven ability to manage classroom behaviour and create an inclusive and positive learning atmosphere.
- Adaptability: Able to tailor teaching methods and resources to meet the needs of a diverse range of students.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- Team Player: A collaborative mindset, working well with other teachers and support staff to promote a vibrant learning community.
