Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated bricklayer's mate to join our team on a contract basis. This role will involve assisting our bricklayers with repairs and maintenance duties across a range of properties within the Sunderland area.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting bricklayers with all aspects of bricklaying work, including: Preparing and mixing mortar, Handling and transporting bricks and other materials, Cleaning and tidying the work area, Providing general support to the bricklayers.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures
- Working effectively as part of a team
- Communicating effectively with site management
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Bricklayer's Mate is preferred, but not essential
- A valid CSCS card is essential
- DBS
- Asbestos awareness
- Manual handling
- Working at heights
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
