We are seeking a Learning Disability Team Manager for our Adult Social Care division. This role involves leading a team that works with adults with Learning Disabilities, focusing on post-preparation for adulthood. The team is responsible for conducting complex assessments, developing care plans, and implementing effective interventions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the Learning Disability Team to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Oversee complex assessments and the creation of personalised care plans.
- Implement and monitor interventions tailored to the needs of adults with Learning Disabilities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
- Collaborate with other services and professionals to provide comprehensive support.
- Respond promptly to needs within the local area and be present on-site at least once a week.
Who We're Looking For:
- Experienced social care professionals with a background in managing or leading teams.
- Individuals with a strong understanding of Learning Disabilities and the associated social care needs.
- Candidates with excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
- Those capable of working in a hybrid environment, combining remote work with regular on-site presence.
- Professionals who are responsive and flexible, able to adapt to the needs of the Borough.
Additional Information
This is a hybrid role requiring presence on-site in Gateshead at least once a week. The successful candidate will need to be responsive to the needs of the local area, ensuring timely and effective support for adults with Learning Disabilities.
