Are you ready to make a difference to young people? We're seeking enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join an incredible team, supporting young people with special educational needs and disabilities.
Your Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll collaborate with a dynamic team of Therapists, Nurses, and Support Workers dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for the students. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Student-Centred Care: Prioritising the needs and development of the students.
- Creating Safe Learning Spaces: Encouraging and enabling students to reach their full potential.
- Personalised Learning Support: Facilitating both 1:1 and group learning activities tailored to individual needs.
- Assisting Tutors: Supporting lesson delivery and contributing to student achievement tracking.
- Organising Activities: Planning exciting outings and day trips.
- Administration: Ensuring smooth college operations through efficient admin work.
About You
They're looking for individuals who are:
- Passionate about supporting young people (19-25 years old).
- Committed to achieving the best outcomes for those they support.
- Creative, adaptable, and able to bring new ideas to life.
- Resilient, with good initiative in challenging situations.
- Strong communicators, both verbally and in writing.
- Qualified (or willing to work towards) a Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools (funding available).
- Experienced in classroom environments and tracking student progress.
- Knowledgeable about conditions like Autism, Epilepsy, and PMLD (preferred but not essential).
