We're seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our innovative SEN college in Cranleigh, Surrey. We provide a supportive and stimulating environment for young adults aged 18-35, helping them develop essential life skills, work experience, and educational qualifications.
About Us:

- Community Engagement: We believe in real-world learning and take learners out into the community for life skills training, helping them build confidence in everyday tasks like shopping and using public transport.
- Work Experience Opportunities: Our learners participate in work experience at our on-site cafe, where they learn to grow, cook, and sell their own food.
What You'll Do:
- Provide individual and group support: Work alongside learners with a range of needs, including autism spectrum conditions (ASC), brain injury, and physical disabilities.
- Assist with developing essential life skills: Guide and encourage learners in areas such as shopping, cooking, using public transport, and managing daily tasks.
- Facilitate work experience opportunities: Support learners in the on-site cafe.
- Encourage and motivate: Help learners progress towards their individual goals, including GCSE qualifications or vocational programmes.
- Collaborate with the college's team of therapists and educators: Contribute to individualized learning plans and provide positive support.
Ideal Candidates:
- Have experience working with individuals with special needs.
- Are patient, understanding, and possess excellent communication skills.
- Are comfortable working with students who may exhibit challenging behaviour.
- Have a positive and encouraging approach.
- Are passionate about helping individuals achieve their goals.
- Are confident working in the community with learners.
