Line Operative

Pay rate - £15.28 per hour

Our plastics reprocessing facility in Avonmouth, Bristol will reprocess over 80,000 tonnes of plastic every year - more than 1.6 billion bottles, tubs, and trays - creating recycled raw material to return to the economy. Plastic recycling at the facility will save 126,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year, the equivalent of taking over 67,000 cars off the road.
The shift for this role is 2 days on, 2 nights on, 4 off. The hours are 6am to 6pm & 6pm to 6am.
Requirements:
- As a Sort Line Operative, the main part of your role will be to sort and separate materials to ensure the quality of the final product.
- This is a varied role and you will also undertake general duties on site, such as bale trimming, general housekeeping and cleaning and other activities as directed by the Shift Manager or Production Supervisor
The ideal Operative will have:
- Good communication skills
- The ability to undertake structured work with consistent attention to detail. Self discipline and excellent time keeping.
The ideal candidate will be a competent production/line operative & will have worked in a production/waste management environment in the past.
