Role and Responsibilities:

As a Learning Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting individuals with complex needs. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting students with challenging behaviours in a structured educational setting.
• Assisting in the implementation of personalized learning plans.
• Providing personal care, including feeding, toileting, and hygiene support when required.
• Contributing to the development of social skills, communication, and independence.
• Working closely with teachers and other support staff to raise the standard of teaching and learning.
• Promoting a positive and inclusive environment where every student can thrive.

Requirements:

• Relevant qualifications: A qualification in health, social care, or education (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3, CACHE, or similar) is preferred but not essential.
• Experience with challenging behaviours: Experience working with adults or children displaying challenging behaviours is essential, whether in a professional or personal capacity.
• Personal experience: They value candidates who have personal experience with learning disabilities or special needs, even if you do not have formal work experience in the field.
• Commitment to personal care: You should be comfortable assisting with personal care tasks when needed.
• Flexible qualifications: If you have a degree in a related field but lack formal work experience, your personal experience and passion will be highly regarded.
