Shift Pattern: DAYS ONLY - 4 on 4 off (7am - 7pm, 12-hour shifts)
We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join our client, a leading chemical manufacturer, on a permanent basis. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of plant machinery and equipment. Your primary focus will be on electrical systems, with a strong emphasis on fault finding, repairs, and preventative maintenance. You will work closely with the engineering team to minimise downtime and ensure the highest standards of safety and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Fault finding and repairing control panels, PLCs, and input/output cards.
Working with 3-phase systems, extruders, and both DC and AC motors.
Maintaining and troubleshooting variable speed drives and small 3-phase motors.
Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance to ensure minimal disruption to production.
Collaborating with the team to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias.
Strong knowledge of control panels, PLC fault finding, and 3-phase systems.
Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
