MASH Social Worker
£45 per hour
Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of referrals from various sources (e.g., police, schools, health professionals) to determine the level of risk and need.
- Gather and analyse information from multiple agencies to form a complete picture of the individual's situation.
- Facilitate effective communication and information sharing among professionals from different agencies (e.g., health, education, police, housing)
- Ensure that all relevant information is shared promptly and securely to aid in decision-making processes.
- Identify and assess potential risks to individuals, particularly children, and implement appropriate safeguarding measures.
- Develop and implement risk management plans in collaboration with other professionals.
- Participate in multi-agency meetings to discuss cases and contribute to decision-making regarding interventions and support.
- Make recommendations for further actions, such as referrals to specialist services or immediate protective measures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of cases, including assessment findings, decisions made, and actions taken.
- Coordinate and monitor the delivery of services and support to individuals and families.
- Provide direct support and intervention to individuals and families in crisis situations.
- Offer guidance, advice, and advocacy to help individuals access necessary services and support.
- Work within legislative and policy frameworks to ensure the safeguarding and protection of vulnerable individuals.
- Ensure that all actions taken are in the best interest of the individual and comply with relevant safeguarding protocols.
- Stay informed about current best practices, legislation, and policy changes in the field of safeguarding.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
- Work collaboratively with professionals from different disciplines to provide a holistic approach to safeguarding.
- Attend and contribute to multi-disciplinary team meetings and case conferences.
- Engage with the community to raise awareness about safeguarding issues and available support services.
- Provide education and training to community groups and professionals about identifying and reporting safeguarding concerns.
