MASH Team Manager, Newcastle City Council
Newcastle City Council's Children's Services is seeking an exceptional and dynamic Team Manager to lead our dedicated Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our services, ensuring that children are protected and supported within a collaborative and efficient multi-agency environment.
Your Role:
As MASH Team Manager, you will provide strategic leadership, operational oversight, and expert guidance to the MASH team.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Leadership: Leading, motivating, and supporting a high-performing team of professionals from various agencies to deliver outstanding safeguarding services within the MASH.
- Operational Management: Ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the MASH, including managing resources, workload, and processes.
- Partnership Development: Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including other agencies, to enhance collaboration and information sharing.
- Case Management Oversight: Providing expert guidance and supervision to team members on complex cases, ensuring effective assessment, case management, and decision-making within the MASH framework.
- Service Improvement: Identifying opportunities for service improvement, innovation, and best practice implementation within the MASH, aligning with the strategic direction of Newcastle City Council's Children's Services.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitoring team performance, setting targets, and providing regular feedback to ensure high standards are maintained.
- Policy and Procedures: Ensuring compliance with relevant safeguarding legislation, policies, and procedures within the MASH.
Key Requirements:
- Significant Experience in Child Protection: Demonstrated expertise in child protection, ideally within a multi-agency environment.
- Proven Leadership and Management Skills: Experience leading and motivating teams, setting direction, and driving performance.
- Strategic Thinking and Problem-Solving Abilities: Capacity to develop and implement strategic plans, analyze data, and find innovative solutions.
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build strong relationships with team members, stakeholders, and partners.
- Commitment to Safeguarding Children: Passion for protecting children and ensuring their rights and well-being are prioritized.
