About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Maths and English Tutor to join a school in Leeds. This role is ideal for a tutor who is passionate about both subjects and keen to support students who need extra help to achieve their potential. You will work with small groups and one-to-one, reinforcing key skills and boosting confidence in a supportive learning environment.

Essential Requirements
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Experience tutoring or teaching in a secondary school setting

Responsibilities
- Provide targeted tuition in Maths and English to small groups and individuals.
- Assess student progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop engaging and interactive lesson materials.
- Offer structured exam preparation and revision sessions.
- Collaborate with teachers to align support with classroom learning.
- Track and record student progress for reporting and evaluation.
- Provide feedback to students and suggest practical ways to improve.
- Support students with literacy and numeracy difficulties.
- Implement strategies to boost reading comprehension and problem-solving skills.
- Support students in developing effective study habits.
- Communicate effectively with parents and school staff.
